Hello Neighbors,

Has everyone recovered from the holidays and settled in to writing “2024” on their checks yet? Well, for those of us who still write checks, I suppose. I am one of those stubborn folks that still clings to checks — but it is mostly because mine are Coca-Cola themed and really cool looking. Is anyone else completely brainwashed by Coke marketing? 
How about your collections? Now I'm curious about what Greenbriar residents accumulate and use for decor. Send me an email (GCAPrez@outlook.com) about your collections and themes, maybe a picture or two, and we'll find a way to share the details of these special things with each other, either here in your favorite newspaper or on our website at GreenbriarGCA.org. If you have a set of Fabergé eggs or some such, we'll be sure to keep your name and address to ourselves.
So, to point out that I'm not just a check-writing dinosaur who sits around dusting grandma's collection of salt & pepper shakers, we added a new and fun event to the January community calendar — the Greenbriar Civic Association White Elephant Exchange party. The idea: Rewrap an unloved present you received, put it in the pile, and see

Greenbriar's Cale Community Center is available to rent for private parties and events. 

 
Amenities include Wi-Fi, 75" Smart TV, Tables, Chairs, Fireplaces, Picnic Tables, Charcoal Grill, Kitchen, Ample Parking, Handicapped Parking 

 

Anyone can rent, but there is special pricing for GCA Members.
