Hello Neighbors,

 Last month I mentioned a little something about my collection of Coca Cola stuff and asked if any of you have special trinkets. I heard back from one resident with a really great collection – elephant statues with their trunks raised. I may, once again, be biased since I have a shelf in my curio cabinet that just happens to home the very same lovely little figures. 

My first elephant was an Avon perfume bottle from my Aunt Stella (all my great aunts were Avon ladies; no idea who they actually sold stuff to since we all lived on the same two roads). Anyway, I was told elephant figurines with raised trunks were lucky, and that was good enough for me. 

Well, my fellow Greenbriar pachyderm procurer shared some more details about the power of the pachyderm. Different placements and positions mean different things – a set by the door for protection has them facing north for love and east for luck; there are even rules for elephant Feng Shui.   Continue Reading
