The Greenbriar Civic Association (GCA) is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of our community’s youth. Each year, we award a $3,000 scholarship to a deserving local high school senior who has demonstrated academic commitment, community involvement, and a dedication to personal and professional growth.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Greenbriar resident and a current GCA member or have a parent/guardian who is a current GCA member
  • Have proof of acceptance to or current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university, community college, or vocational/technical school (including online institutions)
  • A GPA of 3.2 is recommended but not required

All application materials will be reviewed holistically to determine the scholarship recipient.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A completed 2025 GCA Scholarship Application 
  • Proof of college, university, or school enrollment or acceptance
  • A list of awards and extracurricular activities
  • Responses to the following short essay questions:

    1. What are your volunteer activities and why did you choose to give back in this way?
    2. How has living in the Greenbriar community shaped your decision to seek higher education?
    3. What do you hope to achieve professionally with a college degree?

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by April 21, 2025.
